A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join one of the country’s leading Head and Neck Cancer centres as a Head & Neck Clinical Nurse Specialist.
You will be part of our large multi-disciplinary team working directly with other clinical nurse specialists in the acute centre at Guy’s hospital. You will also liaise closely with the clinical nurse specialists in our unique community support team, transferring patients from their acute treatment at the centre to on-going care out in the community.
The successful candidate will maintain and develop the current nurse-led service to provide assessment, psychosocial support and treatment for patients and their families following diagnosis of head and neck cancer; work alongside consultant head & neck surgical colleagues and other members of the wider multi-disciplinary team to provide case-managed care for patients and provide leadership and educational support for ward based nursing teams. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the delivery of the departmental Head & Neck cancer development programme
