NICE Head & Neck Cancer Guidelines
What are the guidelines for?
They are guidelines for Commissioners of Head & Neck Cancer Services. They make recommendations about the resources needed to provide head and neck cancer services. They do not make recommendations about treatment protocols or policies. The guidelines are written by an independent writer who takes advice from an Editorial Board made up of experts from all over the UK. The writer is also informed by the York Centre for Dissemination and Reviews, who review all the evidence to inform best practice. The economic implications are provided by SCHARR (School of Health Related Research)
