Descriptor: This module will explore the anatomy and pathophysiology relevant to ENT, Maxillofacial and Ophthalmic care. Management of common conditions will be discussed, providing the practitioner with knowledge of current research findings to underpin their clinical practice Sessions on altered body image, health promotion, pain management and professional issues will contribute to the development of your specialist practice. This module will provide the basic skills and knowledge to allow the development of a holistic approach to the management of the head and neck client.

Descriptor: The module will explore causes and effects of trauma across the ENT, Maxillofacial and Ophthalmic specialisms. Other emergencies such as infection and inflammation will be addressed. Applied microbiology and pharmacology will be included. The care of the head and neck trauma and emergency client will be critically reviewed.
